Geometric Abstraction
Geometric works express emotion, relationships, and complexity through colors and shapes that are often patterned in some way.
Before 2020 McKay used tape to achieve crisp lines. Since 2021 he has stopped taping and paints freehand to achieve a softer and somewhat more fragile edge.
