Primes
This series uses prime numbers to determine color patterns and figure/ground relationships.
Drawing from principles of software engineering, each set of paintings use a common paradigm to create a “style” within which limits artistic choices, maintaining consistent figure/ground proportions.
Paintings can be understood on multiple levels, from visual to conceptual, allowing for different levels of engagement between viewer and object.
